Thing 16!

I have actually used Google Docs before to share some extra practice materials before tests or quizzes with students and parents. I like it because you don't need to worry about them having the right version of Word, or WordPerfect or whatever program you created your document in- it's available quickly and easily. It's really easy to upload documents and easy to share them! Love Google docs!

  1. I think Google Docs, or some variation of this type of file sharing/storage, will become common practice before long!

  2. I had not thought of using Google Docs in this way but it works. My son's robotics club keeps a calendar, all important documents, links and such on that email site. All users were required to sign up for a gmail account and yet we each have access to the club site. It works very nicely. Any changes to documents are kept as a new version and yet I guess, one could wipe it all out if they so desired.

Google Docs were the only way I found to create compatible docs and keep them accessible when I forgot my flash-drive or lost it. This allowed me to upload created docs and then print them off for use in the classroom. It kept the paper and ink usage down. Now, to magically make the school computers work faster!
